This policy applies to EduAlly's website, application, and related educational services. Because EduAlly may be offered through a course or institution, your school's policies and any study-specific consent materials may also apply.

EduAlly is an educational technology and research platform. Information created through use of the platform may support both classroom operations and ongoing research, as described in our Research & Data Guide.

Depending on how you use EduAlly, we may collect:

• Account and profile information, such as name, email address, pronouns, profile image, role, and account settings.
• Course and learning information, including enrollments, assignments, tests, answers, submissions, scores, feedback, schedules, and uploaded course files.
• AI interaction information, including prompts, responses, conversation content, the course context used, model and usage details, and feedback about AI output.
• Community and support information, including messages, attachments, notifications, study-group activity, and support requests.
• Technical and security information, such as session information, IP address, browser or device details, login events, error reports, and security audit records.
• Preferences, including privacy, accessibility, notification, and calling settings.

We use information to operate accounts; deliver course features and feedback; allow students and instructors to collaborate; provide AI-assisted learning; maintain safety and reliability; prevent misuse; answer support requests; and improve accessibility and usability.

We may also analyze platform data to evaluate and improve EduAlly and to conduct educational research. Research use should follow applicable institutional requirements and any additional information or consent provided for a particular study.

Information may be available to people whose role requires it, such as your instructors, authorized course staff, EduAlly administrators, and authorized members of the research team. Other students may see information you intentionally share through social or messaging features, subject to your settings.

EduAlly relies on service providers for functions such as hosting, database and file storage, AI processing, real-time communications, email, and error monitoring. Those providers may process the information needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of an institutional investigation.

We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.

You can manage certain profile visibility, communication, accessibility, and security preferences in EduAlly. Account deletion is available through the account process, although some records may need to be retained for academic integrity, legal, security, institutional, or research obligations.

You may ask about access, correction, deletion, or research participation through your instructor or the study contact identified in your course or consent materials. A request may be limited where the institution must preserve an academic record or where data has already been de-identified and incorporated into completed research.

Retention depends on the type of record and why it is needed. Course, account, security, backup, and research records may follow different schedules. Study-specific consent materials or your institution may provide additional terms. When information is no longer required, it may be deleted, anonymized, or retained in de-identified form.

We may update this policy as EduAlly and its research program evolve. We will change the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate.

For privacy questions, contact the EduAlly team through your course or institutional study contact. For account-specific support, use the support area after signing in. If you believe there is an urgent security issue, do not include sensitive student information in an ordinary message.
